Information we collect

We may collect account information you provide directly, such as your email address and authentication details. When you use the app, we may store saved highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading preferences, and product diagnostics needed to keep the experience working across your devices. If you use Study activity, we also store daily totals for time spent on Traverse study surfaces. Those totals do not include what you read, wrote, or asked. Separately, we keep a record of your in-app reading and study activity, such as passages opened, topics searched, and studies started, to personalize study suggestions.

We collect an app-install identifier and product interaction events for product analytics. Configured crash-reporting services can collect crash and performance data. Purchase services process subscription information only when those services are enabled.

How we use information

We use this information to provide the product, sync your saved study data and private Study activity, personalize study suggestions such as what to read next from your in-app reading and study activity, improve stability, respond to support requests, and maintain the security of the service.

Third-party services

The product may rely on third-party infrastructure for hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and payment or app-store distribution. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We use Supabase for accounts, data storage and sync. We use Sentry for crash and performance reporting when configured. Apple and RevenueCat process store purchases and subscription status when enabled.

AI processing

AI features send your prompt, selected Scripture and relevant study context to OpenAI or OpenRouter and its selected model providers. Suggestions can include a summary of recent reading and study activity. Web search sends search queries to Google or DuckDuckGo. Web lookup sends requested URLs to the destination website. Allow this sharing to use these features. You can revoke permission in Data controls. You can grant or revoke that permission in the app under Settings → Data controls. Revoking stops new provider requests; it does not erase already-saved study data.

Shared Daily Study content and images use public Scripture context, without your private prompts or reading history. This non-personal generation is separate from your AI processing permission.

Your choices

You can delete your account and associated application data from Settings → Data controls → Delete account. You can contact support for account help, data access, or export requests.

Data retention and deletion

Recent-study views cover 90 days. Older recent-study records are cleaned up when that history is accessed or updated, so inactive records can remain longer. Private daily Study activity totals are kept for one year, with scheduled cleanup of older totals. Saved notes, highlights, bookmarks and Library items remain until you remove them or delete your account. Temporary generation and diagnostic records can have shorter retention periods. Account deletion removes your account and associated application data. Provider records and backups follow their own retention rules; contact support for related data requests.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store before deletion.
